Alabama & Georgia Termites
At Ballard Pest Control, we’ve seen every kind of termite you could imagine, from formosan to dampwood, and more. Termites can be an incredibly dangerous pest in and around your home, and our licensed termite inspectors are on your side to protect you and your family.

Swarming Termites
Termites can come in swarms from local and nearby colonies. If your home is properly bonded, however, the termites will likely avoid your house entirely.

Termites- Cellulose
Termites love to eat through spray foam insulation like cellulose. If you’re concerned about termite damage in and around your spray foam insulation, give us a call immediately.

Formosan Termites
While most termite bonds don’t cover formosan termites, mitigating their damage quickly can be the difference in huge damage or not.

Dampwood Termites
Termites are attracted to water in the wood. If your wood is consistently damp, then you’re inviting termites into your home.
The Termite abatement process simplified.
Termite abatement is the process of not just getting rid of termites, but also preventing them from coming back. While many pest control companies are able to treat the “symptoms” of a termite infestation, preventing them from returning separates Ballard Pest Control from the rest of the pack.
Schedule your free inspection to asses the damage
First, our licensed termite technicians will inspect your home or property to find out where the termites are and how bad the problem is. We will look for signs like:
- Hollowed-out wood
- Mud tubes (termite pathways)
- Swarms of winged termites
Identifying the particular type of termite will play a large factor in determining your steps moving forward. Most kinds of termites can be handled with a simple spot and spray treatment while others require significantly more effort to locate the nest.
Set-up an appointment for a fast and easy solution to your pest problems
Once the inspection is complete, the pest control professional will come up with a treatment plan. This could include:
- Liquid Termite Treatment: A liquid insecticide is applied to the soil around the foundation or the wood in the home. This helps kill termites and creates a barrier to keep new ones from coming in.
- Bait Stations: Small bait stations are placed in the ground around the property. These stations contain slow-acting poison that termites take back to their colony, killing more termites over time.
- Fumigation: For severe infestations, a large-scale treatment called fumigation might be used. This involves sealing the home and releasing a gas that kills the termites. This is often done for drywood termites.
Sign up for annual treatment plans per season
After the treatment, our termite inspectors might return for follow-up inspections to make sure the termites are gone, and offer regular inspections or monitoring services to keep an eye out for any signs of termites returning. This can help catch any problems early.
